Home Made Folder "Board" Games

There was a time when I was younger, my sister and I would make our own games. So a couple of weeks ago I came up with a really great way to entertain the older kids I babysit on the weekends, Home made folder Board Games. It is so easy and it really kept them entertained for hours, that to me is amazing.

This is a plain folder that the kids can feel free to cover with construction paper and decorate any way they want before they make their folder board game.

Some times I find cheaper file folders I can get three or four for a dollar and I use this also for the board game.

Here are some pictures I took of the Home Made Folder "Board" games. I love to go to the dollar store to gather my materials, such as spinners which come 4 in a pack, colored envelopes which come 25 a pack and then some dice which come 6 in a pack and regular folders that don't cost that much either. You can also get play money and note cards to make "mystery cards". They came up with the idea of the type of board game they wanted to make on their own.  Just be creative and have fun, I really left it up to the kids to come up with their own board game, they watched me make one and if you look at the last picture above, that was created by Ashley and she called it Ashley-oply. I love when kids can show their creative side, it get their creative minds going and Ashely-oply is what they come up with.... Amazing (if you are curious to find out what she used to create those individual spaces, it was Duck tape...)
